Gemma Cormier
1935-2022
Gemma Cormier, 86, of Bouctouche and formerly of Richiboucto-Village,
passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children at the Stella Maris
de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Friday February 4, 2022. She
was married to the late Eymard Cormier (2000). Born in Acadieville,
she was the daughter of the late Edmond and the late Joséphine
(Chevarie) Richard.
She will be sadly missed by her three children; Linda LeBlanc (Gerald)
of Richiboucto-Village, Yvon (Gloria) of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent, Raymond
(Denise) of Cocagne, her five grandchildren; Lisa, Yves, René,
Jessica, Carol and three great grandchildren; Anika, Maryssa and
Alexa. She also leaves to mourn her four sisters; Germaine Daigle of
Richiboucto, Florine Richard, and Anna Cormier of Gardner, MA, Marie
LeBlanc (Yvon) of Templeton, MA and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by four sisters; Bertha, Eliza, Thérèse,
Eva and four brothers; Nazaire, Adelard, Irenée and Emile.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29, rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Wednesday February 16, 2022 from
1:00 to 2:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean
Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday February 16,
2022 at 3:00 pm with interment in the Richiboucto-Village parish
cemetery in the spring.
