LEAR: GAILYA WOOD “GAIL”
Peacefully at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital, Goderich, on Saturday September 17, 2022 Mrs. Gail (Manning) Lear of Goderich in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry E. Lear. Loving mother and mother in law of Danny & Debbie Lear of London, and Dave & Lori Lear of Clinton. Grandmother of William Lear. Dear sister and sister in law of June & Stan Johns of Tuckersmith Twp., and June Crawford of London. Also loved and missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William & Mary Manning, in laws Doris Lear, Helen Underwood, Stan Crawford, George Underwood, niece Amber Underwood, and nephew Marc Crawford. Gail was for many years the Organist and Choir Director at Londesborough United Church, playing music was a passion and Gail never missed an opportunity to play when called upon. At Gail’s request cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Gail’s Life will be held at Londesborough United Church, Londesborough on Saturday October 1, 2022 with visitation commencing from 12:30 until time of the service at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Londesborough United Church, Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, or the charity of choice would be appreciated.     Please accept my condolences on the loss of your Mother and Mother-in-law. I so enjoyed Gail’s leadership in the choir at Londesborough. She was such a dedicated director and organist and I know that she shared her skills at Goderich Place whenever she could. She will be missed by many.
