The family of Gail Alice Newman of Fredericton NB are very
sad to announce her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on
December 13th, 2022. Gail was the
loving wife of William Myles Newman for 58 years. She was born on
March 15, 1946, in Lake George NB to her parents, the late Dan and
Gladys (Barnett) Hoyt.
Gail’s world revolved around her family, she loved
playing bingo and cribbage, was a great cook and she enjoyed going to
the camp in Holtville, but her heart was always in Lake George at
their family farm where she nurtured and raised her
children.
In addition to her husband, Gail is survived by her children,
Bonnie (Ernie) Proctor, Willie (Amanda) Newman, Laura (Brian) MacLean,
Barb (Stephen) Woods, Pam (Derek) Murphy, Brian (Cheri) Newman, and
Robin Newman. She is also survived by many grandchildren; brother
Danny Hoyt (Marilyn); sisters, Florence (George) Connolly, Cheryl
(Jimmy) Marshall, Bev (Eric) Lyons; half-sisters, Jane Sowers (Dale)
Joan Lavigne (Roger), Ellie Lussier (Art), Lucille Ramsay (Thane),
Shelly Greer (Stuart) as well as several nieces and nephews and a
friend Sharon Newman. She was predeceased by her parents and a
brother, Fred Hoyt.
A visitation will take place at Bishops Funeral
Home, 540 Woodstock Rd. on Saturday December 17th from noon until 2pm
with a funeral service beginning at 2pm with Pastor Wayne Flowers
officiating.
For those who wish to make a memorial donation in
Gail’s memory, the family have suggested the Canadian Cancer
Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Grew up around Gail, soaping her windows every Halloween and having her chase and catch us up the driveway. She always caught us and made us come back amd clean her windows. Lol
