The death of Freda Jane Hennessy, loving wife George D. Hennessy, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2022 at George Dumont Hospital, Moncton surrounded by her family.
Freda was born April 26, 1928 in Underhill, Northumberland County, NB daughter of the late Arthur M. and Clementine M. Underhill. In addition to her husband of 76 years, George, she is survived by her daughters June Brown of Rothesay; Jill and her husband Joel Rinzler of Toronto. Granddaughter Erin Brown of Rothesay; grandson Brian Brown and his wife Karine Arseneault of Dieppe. Two sisters – Hughena (Ween) and her husband Woodie Somerville of Moncton and Faye Brophy (late Merle) of Upper Blackville, NB. Sister-in-law Lyona Underhill of Blackville; numerous nieces and nephews, and the Hennessy Family.
Freda was predeceased by five brothers – Max (Maude) of Gagetown; Millet (Beatrice), Clifton (Jean),Harold (Evelyn) and Gerald all of Blackville. Sisters Doris Touchie (Bill) and Alberta DeLong (Walter) both of Moncton; Winnifred in infancy.
In the early days, Freda was employed for several years by General Dairies and then Sears. She enjoyed knitting, reading, clogging and line dancing. Her most favourite times were sitting on the deck of the cottage in Keenan overlooking the Miramichi River.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11:00 am from St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Blackville with Interment in the adjoining cemetery (mask are encouraged at the church).
