Obituary of Frank William Thibault
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden yet peaceful passing of our beloved father, at Sudbury Health Sciences North on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the age of 87. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Noreen of 62 years. Devoted father of Sharon King (Robert), Gene Thibault (Kim), Kevin Thibault (Gladys). Cherished grandfather of Valerie Kates (Mark), Renee Cowan (Brian), Michael Cote (Diana), Liam, Sophie and Chloe Thibault, Isiah Holmberg, Sayde Boissoneau, Evette and Simon Thibault. Great grandfather of Trenton and Delaney Cowan, Wes Kates, Emerson and Elwood Boissoneau.
Son of the late Delena and the late Frank Thibault. Brother of Jim Thibault (Sheila), Shelley Thibault (Jeananne), Leila Thibault, Madeline MacDonald (late Al), Sally Brammer (Ray) and Marjorie Thibault. Son-in-law of the late Percy and the late Nora Ramsay (nee Chestle). Brother-in-law of John Ramsay (late Mary Jane), Sylvia Houle (Rolly) and the late George Ramsay (Pat). Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers and sister-in-law Blake, Ken, Cam and Randy (Katharine).
Bill started out his career working with his father commercial fishing throughout the Great Lakes. Later, he moved to Sudbury working for Inco in the mines. Bill finished his career with a move to Sault Ste. Marie where he worked for Algoma Steel for 28 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and hunting up at Ranger Lake, his favourite place to be was in the bush at camp. He enjoyed watching hockey and baseball cheering for his favourite teams the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. He attended church at both Holy Trinity and St. Luke’s Cathedral.
Service details to be announced at a later date. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
