Frank Sachs 2022

Frank Sachs, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, September 03, 2022. He was 87.
Born in Chesley, Ontario, son of the late Ezra and Sophie (nee Albright) Sachs. Frank was a Postal Clerk in Hanover, where all three of his daughters would follow in his footsteps working at Canada Post.
Survived by devoted wife Doris Rettinger-Sachs (nee McGlynn) of Hanover. Dear father of Joyce (Brian) Randell of Walkerton, Fran Ritchie of Ayton and Diane McCoy of Ayton (Dan). Loved step father of Allan (Sue) Rettinger of Petersburg and Carol (Brian) Siegfried of Formosa. Adored grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Remembered fondly by his sister in law Bernice Sachs of Hanover. Predeceased by his first wife Ima (nee Werner) Sachs, son in law Ken Ritchie and brother Russell Sachs, and great granddaughter Finley Smith.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Inurnment of ashes in St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Lauderbach.
Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
