Obituary
It is with heavy and saddened hearts that our family announces the passing of our beautiful mother, on March 9, 2022, in her 94th year, Frances Bovay (nee Beauchesne). She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward Bovay. She is predeceased by her parents Alfred and Alberta Beauchesne (nee Schnubb) and her siblings Romeo, Majoric, Clem, Roger, Anita Parker and Jackie White. She is also predeceased by her son, Gary. Left to mourn are her children, Suzanne Dwyer, Brian “Buck” ( Regina), Roy (Louise- deceased) Grant and Lori ( Mike). Frances was the loving Nana to her nine grandchildren, Rory, Ryan, Natalie, Lonnigan, Amanda, Dallas, Mallory, Jesse and Sadie. She was the great grandmother to 6 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her special nephew, Barry Parker. Born in Kirkland Lake, January 27, 1929, she moved to North Bay in 1931 and it has been her home ever since. Frances chose to work where she was able to interact with people in her community, however, her favorite job was being a mother and housewife. In her spare time, you could find Frances spending endless days at the beach with her family or watching and cheering on her children at whatever sports they played, she was always their biggest fan. She was an avid reader and a health fanatic, long before it was fashionable. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time on the waterfront and time with lifelong friends. In her final years, Frances was doted on and cared for by her devoted son Grant, who ensured she had the best quality of life and was able to stay in her home. The family would like to thank Dr. Graham and staff, for their total commitment to our mother’s well being and for going way beyond the call of duty. Thank You Dr. Graham for your courage, guidance and support that helped us get through this difficult time. You are truly our hero. In keeping with Frances’ wishes, cremation has taken place. A donation to the Alzheimer’s Society or a random act of kindness in memory of how Frances lived her life, would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com
