Mrs. Florence “Tootie” Pawley, formerly of Delhi , passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital , Simcoe on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in her 93rd. Florence enjoyed volunteering with the Brownies and Girl Guides of Canada for over 20 years. Her other hobbies included reading and crossword puzzles but her favourite way to spend her time was with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Former Florence Mabel Johnstone. Beloved wife of the Late John “Jack” Pawley (2009). Loving mother of Janice Hantz (Rick), Brenda Sobry (Darryl) and David Pawley (Karen) and mother-in-law of Catherine Pawley. Cherished grandmother of Darcy DeLeye (Paul), Sheree Brame (Greg), Kim Sobry, Jessica Pawley (Troy), Ryan Hantz (Maria), Jaclyn Pawley (Randy), Kevin Hantz (Melissa) and Mark Hantz (Katie) and great-grandmother of Riley, Lexi, Ethan, Kailem, Ella, Grace, Georgianna, Brody and Cohen. Dearest sister of Mandy Williamson (Bob) and sister-in-law of Mable Ackland (Late Doug). Predeceased by her son, Steven Pawley (2006), by her brothers: Jack, Tom, George and Bob, by her sister Isabelle (Late Emerson) and by her brother-in-law Jess Pawley (Late Bette). A Private Family Funeral Service will be held with Rev. Judy Barker officiating. Interment in Delhi Cemetery . The family wants to thank the wonderful staff at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home for all the excellent care they gave Mom for over 2 ½ years when she was part of their family.
