Obituary of Finton Collier
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Finton Collier of St, Verinica’s, NL announce his passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre, Harbour Breton, NL on Friday December 31, 2021 at the age of 98. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife: Elizabeth; children: Daniel (Elizabeth), Stellerton, NS, Regina (Douglas Kearley), St. John’s, NL, Martin (Beth), Medicine Hat, AB, Wilfred (Linda), St. John’s, NL, Shirley (Michael Lundrigan), Bay Roberts, NL, Conrad (Kathy), Hope, BC, Andrew (Karen), Timberlea, NS, Zita (Albert Hunt), Head of Bay d’Espoir, NL & Sandra (Christopher Penney), Beaver Bank, NS; 21 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son; Finton Jr. Collier; brothers: Alfred & Benedict; sisters: Mary Willcott, Olive Organ, Lenora McDonald & Theresa Hynes. Due to the government restrictions regarding Covid-19 the visitation will be walk through only, proof of vaccination and masks are mandatory. Funeral service on Tuesday January 4, 2022 at 2pm at St. Ignatuis Roman Catholic Church, St. Alban’s with Father Patrick Osuji officiating. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban’s. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s.
