Peacefully with her daughter by her side at Dufferin Oaks, Shelburne on Thursday, February 17th, 2022 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of Robert Evans (2001). Dear mother of George Edward (Patricia Jean Jackson), Glen and Louise & John Cornelius. Cherished grandmother of Angie Evans (Chris), Tracy Noble (Brett), Rhonda White (David). Great grandmother of Ashley, Ryan and Trevor. Step-grandmother of Leaytte Speers and Jason Jackson. Step-great-grandmother of four. Predeceased by her brothers James, Ernest and Stanley and her sisters Kathleen Hunter, Ivadelle Stafford and Viola Irvine. Missed by her sister-in-law Doreen McKitrick and her many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10:30 p.m.
Memorial donations to Community Living Dufferin, Dufferin Oaks or Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Fern in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
