It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. With her family by her side and holding her hand, she slipped peacefully into Heaven on Saturday morning at 12:25 am. August 27th, 2022 at her home in Kitchener, Ontario at the age of 97.
Left to carry on her legacy are her children, Ralph (Hazel), Burlington, NL, and Loretta (David), Kitchener, Ontario, as well as 7 Grandchildren, Elaine Brown (David), Rudy Bowers (Pamela), Carson Bowers (Lisa) Betty Hart (Garry), Peggy Wilkinson (Dan), Tracey Craig (Christopher), and Jamie Bowers (Jacqui); plus 16 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren; brothers, Willis Young (Audrey), Roger Young (Velma), Stewart Young (Bernice), and sisters Thelma Keough and Dulcie Kelley, also a large circle of nephews and nieces, extended family, and friends.
Evelyn is predeceased by her loving husband, Allan Bowers (2009), Parents, Sidney and Florence Young; parents-in-law- Stanley and Susan Bowers; Sister- Rita Elliott (Kenneth) son-in-law; Donald Doucette; Special uncle, whom she took care of- Leander Young; siblings-in-law, Sophie Flight (George), Agnes Lush (Leander), Albert Bowers (Jean), Rita Elliott (George), Joan Burton (Raymond), Bessie Kelly (Roland), Maude Saunders (Selby), and Blanche Kelly (Sidney).
The funeral service will take place from Riverside United Church, Burlington, NL at a time to be announced. Interment will follow from Mill’s Cove Cemetery, Burlington, NL.
