Evelyn Furey
August 26, 1939 – April 12, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Furey on April 12, 2022, at the age of 82, after a short illness. She was at home and surrounded by her loving family.
She was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Catherine Furey (Mansfield); daughters Diane and Caroline; son-in-law Rudolph O’Keefe; and her brothers and sisters.
Left to mourn are her children: Dorothy O’Keefe, Doreen Marshall (Brian), and Brian Clarke (Lori); her grandchildren: Christopher, Heather, Katherine, Jennifer, Holly, Zackary, and Craig; and her great-grandchildren: Shawna, Daniel, and Mason.
Mom had a special love for animals as well as hockey. She also leaves behind her constant companion, Naz, who is named after her favourite hockey player.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road, St. John’s, on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
A donation in her memory may be made to the SPCA.
