Eva Margaret Gill 1953 2022

Eva Margaret Gill (neé Haggart)
February 28, 1953 – February 27, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eva Gill on Sunday, February 27, 2022 after a very lengthy, yet courageous, battle with cancer at the age of 68 years.
Eva was born in Alder Flats to John and Helen Haggart. She found much joy in playing card games, and with an exceptionally competitive spirit, she never played “just for fun”, there was always money involved – even with the kids! She especially enjoyed her sunflower patch and hanging baskets, camping and travelling to the city for a day of shopping or trying her luck at the casino.
Eva will forever be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Krissy (Trent) Bohning; granddaughters, Sophia and Rayna; special friend and companion, Lorne Gill; sisters, Myrna Tomczak and Joyce Jaworski; brother, Edward Haggart, as well as by many extended family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, John and Helen Haggart; first husband, Darryl Patten; second husband, Harold Miller and her sister, Marj Miller.
As per Eva’s wishes, formal funeral services will not be held.
Eva’s family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Anttonette Gossmann, as well as the nursing team on the second floor of Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre for their kind and compassionate care during Eva’s final days.
For those who so desire, memorial donations in Eva’s name may be made directly to Drayton Valley Health Foundation – Palliative Care Campaign, 4550 Madsen Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta T7A 1N8.
