Born October 17th, 1932 Mushaboom, Nova Scotia Died August 16th, 2022 Campbell River, BC Survived by Husband Geoff Scatchard of Campbell River, BC sisters Helen Walters, Daisy Lawson, Shirley Hilton & many nieces, nephews & families all of Dartmouth, NS. Predeceased by parents William Elmer & Jennie Celestia Boutilier, sister Janet Southwell, 1st husband Allen Townsend, brother in laws George Walters, Ron Lawson, Leslie Southwell & Fred Hilton. Sister in law, Lorraine Sandstrom (White Rock, BC)
A ‘nature loving soul’ who loved picnics, gardens, parks & travel. Eva dipped her toes in the Arctic, crossed the equator, cruised the Amazon, sunbathed in the Cook Islands & spent 29 years hiking British Columbias’ magnificent mountains with her husband Geoff. Eva studied at Mrs. Murphy’s Business College (Dartmouth) & Vancouver Vocational School (BC). Eva worked as a bookkeeper for Webster Smith(Halifax) for 15 years before moving to BC in 1967 where she worked for Southwell Controls for 12 years before retiring.
Geoff & family want to thank all Eva’s caregivers at Discovery Harbour Care Centre, Cortez Section in Campbell River, BC who made her last year comfortable. Cremation has already taken place. No flowers by request. Donations to Alzheimer’s research or your favourite charity
