Estella’s Obituary
Gullens, Estella “Stella” Marie – 91, Lower Sackville, formerly of Pugwash, passed away May 1, 2021, at home with her daughter Peggy in Lower Sackville. Born in Pugwash she was a daughter of the late George Herbert and Florence (Crowley) Lockhart. Stella had worked at the Sunset Adult Residential Centre for 15 years (1967-1983), and was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Pugwash, as well as the CWL. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Benjamin and Peggy (David) Joudrie, both of Lower Sackville; sons, Gary (Janet) Gullens, Pugwash, Patrick Gullens, Porters Lake, Daniel Gullens (Shameela), Brampton, Ont.; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; sister, Gladys Mingo, Tatamagouche; brother, Patrick (Miriam) Lockhart, Hamilton, Ont.; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ivan Gullens; son, Donald Gullens; sisters, Marion Canning and Irene Millett; brothers, Donald, Roland, Bernard and Rupert Lockhart. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
