Obituary of Eric Oliver Marriott
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Eric Marriott at the age of 86 at Greater Niagara General on May 9, 2022.
Loving husband to the late Margaret Marriott.
Dear father to Cheryl (Stan), his late son Vance (Michelle), Kevin (Debbie), Carol (Wallie). Adoring Grandfather to Nick (Miranda), Amanda (Justin), Alannah (Rich), Waylon, Justine (Justin), Phillip (Sophie), Daniel, Jordan, Eric, Jess, Haley and Zach.
Proud Great-grandfather to Hannah, Heidi, Hazel, Audrey, Hudson, August, Sydney, Emmett, and Archer.
Predeceased by parents George and Dola Marriott, brother Walter, Graham, Sam(Sarina) Clayton(Janice) Bobbie and sister Helena.
Rick will be sadly missed by his many friends and family. Rick took great pride in his community sharing his love for cooking with his well known catering service Rick’s Ole Tyme Barbie -Q. His generosity to help those in need was well known to the Niagara Area.
Rick was a positive influence, very proud of his family and was loved and respected by all who knew him.
Special thank you to all the Nursing staff at GNGH who cared for our father.
A private ceremony and burial will take place at St. Paul’s Church in Fort Erie for immediate family. A celebration of Rick’s life will be planned at a later date.
In honour of Rick’s wishes Cremation will take place- memorial donations in Rick’s name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
