ST-IGNACE, NB – Eric Joseph Thebeau “Eric
à Pépère” passed away at his
residence on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Born in St-Ignace,
he was the son of the late Pierre Thebeau and late Alma (Robichaud)
Thebeau. Before retiring, he was employed as a supervisor at
the Department of Transportation.
Eric was an avid hunter and enjoyed going fishing.
His passion was researching his family’s genealogy and
hosting big jamborees over the past 15 years.
Eric will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 52 years,
Thérèse (Hebert) Thebeau of St-Ignace; one
daughter, Denise Gray (Paul) of Aldouane; three sons, Maurice Thebeau
of Tumble Ridge, BC, Daniel Thebeau of St-Ignace, Medric Richard
(Lise) of St-Ignace; two very special granddaughters, Annie (Justin),
Julie (Philip) and two grandsons, Nicholas and
Robby.
He is also survived by four sisters, Rita Richard (late Paul)
of Bouctouche, Simonne Daigle (France) of Moncton, Anne Russel (Al) of
Fredericton, Marie-Paul Hebert (Romeo) of Laketon; four brothers,
Adelard Thebeau (Maria) of St-Ignace, Bernard Thebeau (Della) of St.
Louis, Elie Thebeau (Gisele) of St-Ignace, Richard Thebeau (Diane) of
St. Ignace; brother-in-law, Donat Hebert of Fredericton and many
nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one grandson,
Sebastien and three sisters, Hélène, Pierrette
and infant Pierrette.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A
Graveside Service will be held in the spring and announced at a later
date.
Arrangements are in the professional care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto (523-4252).
