It is with very heavy hearts that we announce that our dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, Aron George Enns (Arnie Enns) passed away suddenly, after a recent diagnosis of cancer, on July 4, 2022, at the age of 76 years, in Edmonton, AB.
Arnie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Deanna, his two children- Doug (Charmaine), and Cyndi Jenkins (Bill); his grandchildren- Jonelle (Craig), Lakeisha (Cody), Brandon (Emily), Kendra (Duncan), Delaney (Dylan), Lanae (Ahmed), Ashley and Alyssa; his great grandchildren- Sadie, Marzia, Theodore, Charlie, and Jude; his siblings- brother, Ed (Erna, predeceased), brother, Bill (Lou), sister Verna (Oscar, predeceased), sister Rita (Joe), and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Arnie was born in Grande Prairie on September 19, 1945. He moved to Rosthern to go to school where he met Deanna. They had two children, Doug and Cyndi in Saskatchewan. In 1973 they moved to Edmonton. Arnie’s work moved them to Newfoundland in 1980 where they lived for 5 years. Arnie and Deanna returned to Edmonton in 1986, where they’ve resided since, with family close by.
Arnie was loved by all who knew him and was always ready to lend his assistance. Arnie made friends for life and could fit into any social situation with ease.
Arnie is predeceased by his parents Peter, and Annie, and his brother, Wally.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sunrise Community Church at 3303-37 Street NW, Edmonton, on July 28, 2022, at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
