Obituary of Elva W. Pye
Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Elva W. Pye of Harbour Grace, age 85 years.
Predeceased by husband: Stanley; parents: Douglas and Penninah Jackson; sisters: Audrey McDougall and Callie (Edgar) Clarke; sister-in-law: Shirley Reid.
Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Karen (Shawn) Barrett, Harbour Grace; one son: Kevin (Alice), Harbour Grace; three grandchildren: Jonathan, Alexis (Christopher), and Andrew; two sisters: Vera (Hector) Sooley, Heart’s Delight and Janet (Jack) Pauls, Font Hill, ON; brothers-in-law: Dougal (Dorothy) Pye, Corner Brook, Chesley (Edith) Pye, Bristol’s Hope, and Donald (Maxine) Pye, Carbonear; sister-in-law: Linda (Aubrey), Byrant’s Cove; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral service on Friday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Harbour Grace. Interment St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, P.O Box 28, Harbour Grace, NL, A0A 2M0.
