Went home to be with her Lord, the love of her life Husband Willem (1990), baby daughter Zusje and Granddaughter Theresa on Saturday, February 12, 2022.
May her singing voice be heard throughout heaven.
Betty was born February 15th, 1930 in Vlissengen, Holland and followed her husband to Canada in 1952. She embraced Canada and its beauty. Teaching her children to appreciate nature and the great outdoors by camping and hiking trails. She was an avid gardener and a one-of-a-kind knitter, crocheter and sewer, she always had knitting needles in her hands or lying beside her.
Betty was a long-time member of First Baptist Church and was involved in Super ’60’s she shared her love of singing in the choirs. Betty will be missed by her friends at Woodland Terrace where she lived for over 30 years before transitioning to Columbia Forest long term care in Waterloo where she received great care and made friends of many staff who will miss her humour and her love of cookies and ice cream sandwiches.
Loving Mom of John, (Shirley), Liz (Dave), William and Cynthia. Oma and Nana to 12 Grandchildren, Great Oma to 22 Great-grandchildren.
A special thanks to Nicole, Julie, Rahmatu, Aboja, Elizabeth, Ashley and “boyfriend” Tam and all the wonderful staff at Columbia Forest. Your care and stories shared with our family is greatly appreciated and warmed our hearts.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, to attend the visitation and service for Betty, personal face coverings are required and relatives and friends must register (RSVP) at www.erbgood.com or by calling the funeral home. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, 306 Erb St W, Waterloo on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 11:00 am -12:45 pm. The funeral service will follow at the church at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo
