Obituary
Liz (Elizabeth) Plowman (Nee Harper)
November 30th 1958- September 7th 2022
Left us too soon in her 64th year, surrounded by family and under the loving care of the staff of Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
Predeceased by her father Michael Harper, and days away from being a new grandmother to baby Riley, Liz leaves behind her children Skye (Katie), Michael (Allison), step-son Altyn, her mother Laura Harper, brothers Steven (Linda) and Paul (Tori), and her husband, partner and love of her life, Shayne, who was by her side for 40 years. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and friends who became family.
Liz lived her life without apology, enjoying sailing out of Bronte Harbour, tending to her garden (and in later years, watching others tend to her garden), and hosting annual Christmas parties with friends and neighbours. Ever mindful of the needs of others, she dedicated many years to Easter Seals, assisting with their annual regatta. She loved theatre, enjoying a book in the living room, and cuddling with her miniature schnauzer, Dante. Business was family and family was business, and she dedicated her working life to GLN consulting, fostering many relationships with the both the professional arboriculture community, and countless Oakville residents in tending to their property needs.
In the end we all become stories. Liz made ours a good one.
Please join us in sharing Liz’s story ‐- 1pm on Monday September 19th at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home 64 Lakeshore Rd W., Oakville. Service begins at 2pm, with light refreshments to follow.
