With Tom and her children by her side after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s, Jan passed away on September 10th at the age of 82. She was born in Alonsa, MB on May 1st, 1940.
Jan is survived by her lifelong love of 61 years, Tom. Three children Jeff (Heather) of Winnipeg, Keith (Freda) of Whitefish Montana and Christine (Darin) Wager of Selkirk. Three grandchildren, Lexie (fiancée Gabe) of Denver, Kyle (Nicole) of Austin and Becky of Selkirk. Two sisters, Rose of Calgary and Vicky of Kelowna along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anne, siblings Mary, Sue, Stella, Stephie, Alex, Mike and Frank.

  1. Our Deepest Sympathy go out to Tom and the family.
We had a lot of fun coming home from bowling at 11:00 pm and playing cards until 2:00 am.
An oval table with ten to twelve of us having sandwiches, coffee and pickles. We sure missed that.
She also showed me how to do wood craft painting and also shared the produce from their gardens. Jan also told me to buy the petunias that weren’t in blossom much because they will bloom nicer when they matured.
May she now rest in God’s Garden peacefully and watch over you all.
    Friends: Mike and Shirley Kowalchuk
