ENS, Elizabeth – Of Welland, peacefully passed away at home on Friday, November 11th, 2022, in her 100th year. Cherished wife for 40 years to the late Ernie Ens (2010). Loving mother of Robert Thomas (Ann) of St. Thomas, Hank Thomas (Ginette) of Port Colborne and Dave Thomas (Andree) of Ottawa. Loved grandmother of Craig Thomas (Angie), Dalia Turner (Luke), Emily Short (Randy), Melissa Thomas (deceased), Kevin Thomas (Jennifer), Andrea Thomas (John), Lisa Thomas (Cassandra) and Stephanie Thomas (Tim), and godmother to Florence Leone (Rico). She will be sadly missed by great-grandchildren Victoria (Katie) Ramm, Raegan Thomas, Kyra Thomas, Kyesha Hagget, Haley Turner, Myia Turner, Ginger Short, Martha Short, Baxter Short and Raelynn Thomas.
The family wishes to thank the home health care professionals for their respectful and attentive support; and, her neighborhood friends for their consideration for her well being.
Following Elizabeth’s wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date for family and friends. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Welland Hospital Breast Screening Clinic and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
