Sheen – We are sad to
announce the passing of Elizabeth “Bette” Ann Sheen, age 80,
of Stanley Bridge and formerly of Summerside. Bette passed away
peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2022, surrounded by her family. Her
family and friends cherished her boundless energy and affection and
will miss her dearly.
Bette was born on April 29, 1942, to Albert and Reta (Ramsay)
Silliphant in Summerside, PEI. With her husband Donald, they owned and
operated Sheen’s for Shoes, and was a driving force for
downtown Summerside before retiring in 1998.
Bette is survived by her four children, Kim (Jamie) Foote,
Kent (Sonya) Sheen, Spencer (Ann-Marie) Sheen and Rachel (Josh
Silver); eight grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Holden, Marilyn, Lucy,
Max, Imogen and Lillie; her sister Donna (George) Court; and by her
brother Charles Silliphant (Cheryl Picard).
Predeceased by her loving husband Donald “Don”
Sheen.
Resting at Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. No visiting hours
or funeral service by personal request. Interment in Floral Hills
Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your
choice would be appreciated.
