Peacefully on Thursday, May 12, 2022 with her husband by her side. Beloved wife of Avery for fifty wonderful years. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Stephanie and Bill Jonas; and step-grandmother of Alexandra. Daughter of the late Leon and the late Mildred Gerber. Sister and sister-in-law of David Gerber, Cindy Kemler, Elise and the late Louis Gerber; and sister-in-law of Gary and Karen Waxman, Cheryl and Elliott Brott. Ellie will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Emilie and Brahm Mauer, Gabriel Waxman; Michelle and Jamie Shapiro, Paula and Andrew Salis and their families. She will be deeply missed by her family and many dear friends. Graveside service on Sunday, May 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the BDH Community Foundation Section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane.
