Obituary of Eileen Judith Adshead
ADSHEAD, Eileen Judith (Judy)
Eileen Judith Adshead (Judy) died peacefully on Friday, April 29 at the Fox Ridge Care Community at the age of 87. She is predeceased by her loving daughter, Eleanor Jane Adshead (Jane). She is survived by her devoted son-in-law, Frank Ingold. Judy is also predeceased by her husband, Fred; parents, Grace and Doug O’Neail; in-laws, Fred and Mary Adshead; and very special aunts Margaret O’Neail and Kathleen O’Neail. Judy was a longtime employee of the Brantford Expositor where her father Doug was an editor. Judy and her daughter, Jane, spent many precious days together soaking up the sun in Florida during “March Break”. Both were avid theatre goers and supporters of the Stratford and Shaw festivals. When called upon to share the challenging role of caregiver to her daughter’s illnesses, she always did so enthusiastically and with a loving smile. Friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North. Brantford on Thursday May 5, 2022 from 10:30 – 11:30 am. Funeral service will follow in the chapel. Interment to follow, Oakhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Judy Adshead’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and to the March of Dimes Communications Disability Programs (Whitby).
