Woodside – Edythe Mae Woodside (
nee Simmons June 25, 1926) daughter of Leslie Frank and Daisy
(Morrell) Simmons, of Freetown died in the late evening Thursday,
December 1, 2022, with the kind assistance of Palliative Care Unit of
Prince County Hospital, Summerside, and with her children Leslie,
Cheryl Driscoll (Lorne deceased), and Richard by her
side.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers,
Clifford (in infancy) and Gordon (wife Betty nee Inman);
sisters-in-law Betty Burden Woodside (George), Georgie Profitt
Simmons, Julie Meikle Simmons, Claudette Bourdages Simmons. Survived
by her brothers Walter Simmons of New Annan; Donald Simmons of
Montreal; and grandchildren, Bryn Driscoll (David Ramsay), Joseph
Driscoll (Terri Lynn), Mathew Driscoll (Amanda); great-grandchildren
Lauren and Tom Ramsay; Maria and Anna Driscoll.
Cremation has taken place through Moase Funeral
Home. No visiting hours or funeral service will occur at her request.
