Obituary
Edwin Nickolaus “Ed” Sali passed away at Mount Cartier Court, Revelstoke on Thursday, July 21st, 2022 at the age of 90 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Revelstoke on Friday morning, August 5th at 10:00 a.m. with Father Luan Vu celebrant. Interment will follow in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Hospital Foundation or Mount Cartier Court, in memory of Ed.
Ed was born in Vibank, Saskatchewan on October 13, 1931 and lived in Revelstoke and the Shuswap area for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Kinsmen Club and also an Auxiliary RCMP member. He was a paramedic with B.C. Ambulance Service for many years. Ed enjoyed softball and was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. He was a devoted father and husband.
Ed was predeceased by his wife Isabella in 2012. He is survived by five children: Deborah, Bruce (Mary), Kevin (Lynda), Reta (Colin) and Dean (Lori); 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two sisters: Eileen Strassberger and Lillian Resch; in-laws: Isabell Sali, Jennie Sali, Frank Leir, Vera (Ed) Shatkowski, Mary Thomas and Florian Flaman as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
