Edward Smith passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the age of 70. He will be greatly missed by his wife Penny Smith (nee Birkby) of 45 years, son David (Nicole), daughter Michelle (Dave) and his grandchildren Travis, Joey, Brady, Austin and Caelan. Edward is predeceased by his parents Olive (nee Edwards) and Milton Smith, brothers John and JD Smith and sister Mary Lou. Edward farmed all of his life in Harwich Township along with working and driving Ready Mix Truck for Dresden Ready Mix. He also drove for Canada Building Materials in Windsor. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Edward may be directed to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Diabetes Canada.
