Obituary
Passed away in the presence of his loving family, at Meadow Creek Retirement Centre, Paradise, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Edward Power, of St. Mary’s, aged 80 years.
Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee St. Croix), parents Fabian & Elizabeth Power, parents-in-law Andrew & Isabelle St. Croix; sisters-in-law: Theresa Power, Maureen Butler, Rosemary St. Croix (Frank) and Isabelle St. Croix and other family members of the Power and St. Croix families. Leaving to mourn his children: Fabian, Wanda (David), Lori-Ann (Paul) and Andrew (Kayla), his precious grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally: Brooklyn, Jared, Kayden and Gabriella, brothers Raymond (Mary) and Kevin, brothers-in-law Basil St. Croix (Doreen) and Jerome Butler and many nieces, nephews, other relative of the Power and St. Croix families and his many friends, including those to whom we express our sincere gratitude for being there to support him throughout his life and especially over the past few months – we are forever grateful for your love and support.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to the management, staff and residents at Meadow Creek Retirement Centre for the unconditional and heartfelt love and care shown to our father. We will never forget the love and support not only shown to our Dad, but to our family as well.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s, on Friday, November 4, from 2 – 4pm; 6 – 9pm and Saturday, November 5, from 11am – 1pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary’s, on Saturday, November 5, at 2:15pm. Burial to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the family in care of Andrew.
