Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Edward Allison Armstrong, which occurred on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at his home. Born in Bains Corner, N.B., on June 9, 1937, he was a son of the late Allison Alexander Armstrong and Georgie (Verner) Armstrong Brown.
Edward is survived by his loving wife Beulah Armstrong (Greer); sons Shane (Darlene) and Lane (Suzanne); daughter Heather (Mike McCoy); brothers Glenn (Mary Jean), Lloyd (Sharon), and Sterling (Judy) Brown; sisters Marjorie, Carol and Linda (John Thomas); grandchildren Eric (Tammy), Clayton (Sasha), Hannah, Olivia, Carter, Jessie, Kristopher, and Tasha; great-grandchildren Rosie, Griffin, Rory, Ellie, Emmett, Taylor, Kensley, and Aubrey; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Aside from his parents, Edward was predeceased by his brothers Leonard and Charlie; sister Geraldine; brother-in-law Bruce Vey; sister-in-law Barbara Greer; daughter-in-law Linda Armstrong; niece Faye Langille; and nephews Wesley Langille, Raymond Conway, Mark Brown, and Cory Weston.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to family, friends, and the community for their kindness and care during this difficult time, as well as Saint John Extra Mural for their exceptional care of Edward. You are all greatly appreciated.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, N.B. (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. For those who wish, donations in Edward’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
