Edith Julia Baker (nee Thompson)
Passed away peacefully at the Dundas Manor in Winchester on Monday, March 14, 2022. Edith was born in Orrville, ON to the late Arthur and Emma Thompson and was the loved wife of the late Gordon Baker (2006). She was predeceased by her son Wayne (2008) (wife Carmel), predeceased by her daughter Joanne (2021) (husband Dan Turpin), Diane Seguin (late George), and Kevin (wife Debbie) Baker. Edith was the devoted Grandmother of Pam (Bryan Helmer), Kim Baker, Kary (Matt Carkner), Julia (Jeff Norris), Clinton (Heather Baker), Kandra (Chris Arsenault), Danielle (Nathan Bryson), Jacob Seguin, and Connie Baker and was the great-grandmother to 14. She was predeceased by her brother Edward Thompson (2019) (wife Evelyn) and is survived by her two nephews Michael (Lori) and Philip. Edith was a graduate of the Soldiers Memorial Hospital class of 1946 in Orillia and was on the nursing staff at the Winchester Hospital from 1957 until her retirement in 1986.

Funeral Arrangements
Funeral service will be held at Morewood Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 4, 2022, followed by a reception at the Morewood Recreation Centre. Interment will be at the Morewood Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation or Morewood Presbyterian Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
