Passed peacefully away on November 4, 2022, surrounded by his family, Earl Burke at the age of 75.
Left to mourn his loss, are his wife of 49 years, Carol; children: Gina (Rodney), Jason and Jody; grandchildren: Matthew, Caitlin, Jordan and Brett; great-grandson Parker; sisters: Mollie, Kathleen (Tom), Eunice and Gladys; and brothers Michael and Irving.
Earl was happiest when he was on the ocean, and he, his wife and beloved dog, Raven, spent many happy days touring the islands of Placentia Bay and the south coast of Newfoundland. He was a master craftsman and just recently completed a 5 year project that resulted in a meticulous 6 foot model schooner, built to scale. He was a proud long-time member of Local 740.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Caul’s Funeral Home and cremation has taken place. A celebration of Earl’s life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from the Mazol Shriners Temple, 530 Topsail Road, St. John’s from noon to 3 p.m.
Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in his name to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, St. John’s.
