Rice, Dympna Ellen (nee Aspell)
Passed away peacefully at her home in Grimsby, surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Niall Rice. Loving Mom of Fiona Rice (Laura), Derek Rice (Catherine) and Siobhan Thompson (Dwayne). Cherished Nanny of Sean, Kelly, Ryan and Owen Thompson and Julia Rice. Predeceased by her parents Kieran and Margaret Aspell and by her siblings, Frank, Kevin and Vera Aspell, Betty Beaumont, and Rita Henry. The family is extremely grateful to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers who provided care. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Wednesday June 8, 2022, from 5-8 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 5:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingstone Avenue, Grimsby on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 10:00 am. Interment Grimsby Mountain Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation or The Kidney Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
