Obituary
Dwayne Patterson passed away suddenly of a heart attack early Saturday morning, September 24, in his home in Preeceville, SK.
A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Preeceville Funeral Home on October 4, 2022, at 4:00 PM.
Dwayne was born on March 11, 1972, in Hudson Bay, SK and grew up in a variety of foster homes in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Most of his school years were spent in Winnipeg, MB. He loved working on cars and trucks! He worked in the automotive industry – assisting in engine repair and body work. Dwayne also did a variety of other jobs including painting houses and a wide range of construction work. Even while struggling with a variety of health issues and unable to take on full-time employment, Dwayne helped with maintenance and cut some grass at some rental properties in Preeceville – as he was able.
Dwayne loved tinkering with vehicles – both mechanical and body work. He enjoyed reading and cooking new things. He enjoyed fishing when he got the opportunity. He loved his dog – “Sweetie”. In recent years Dwayne has demonstrated his desire to know the Lord Jesus Christ more deeply in a variety of ways including completing a series of online Bible studies through “UB David and I’ll B Jonathan, Inc.”.
On July 12, 2002, Dwayne married Rose Kobe. Although they divorced a few years later, they remained life-long friends.
Dwayne will be fondly remembered by those who know him and loved him.
