On September 5th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family and in the comfort of her home, Dulcie (Patricia) Bragg, aged 78 years, gained her angel wings. She fought a very short BUT courageous battle with cancer. Through her difficulties and many medical challenges, she always maintained her sense of humor and her zest for life.
She is predeceased by her parents, Baden and Eva Ash of Victoria, NL. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 55 years, Kermit; three daughters Michelle (Rob) Evans, Dana (Jeff) Bragg, Jo-Lynn (Kirk) Butt; as well as six precious grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Brandon, Noah, Kyle, Maria, Logan and Mason; and special friends Betty and Robert Evans and Herb Butt; also, a large number of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the CBS Community Health Team as well as the Palliative Team. They showed a professionalism and empathy that meant the world to our family. We would also like to thank the so very many people who have supported us, visited us, and sent blessings and condolences.
It is said that what we leave behind us when we are taken from this world is a measure of our lives and our living. The mark Patricia – our mother – left was a broad and colorful stroke of kindness, compassion, and appreciation for family. Hers was a maxim of laughter and love until the very end.
The poet Rumi said that there is no such thing as goodbye for those who have loved with their hearts and souls. Thank you, Patricia, for a love that knows no end.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted.
