Obituary
Duane Vernon Larsen, late of Weyburn, SK passed away August 7, 2022 at the age of 92 years.
Duane was born on January 6, 1930. He was predeceased by his wife Delores Larsen; his parents, Theodore and Lillian Larsen; great granddaughter Rachelle Hallberg; brothers Kenneth Larsen and Marvin Larsen; sons-in-law George Barsness and Roy Lohse.
Duane is survived by his daughter, Myrna Lohse; stepchildren Larry (Eleanor) Skjerdal; Elwood (Betty) Skjerdal; and Karen Barsness; 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; Melissa (Matthew) Carlisle and children Izabella and Madelyn; Brandon (Paula) Lohse, and children Royce and Kody; Byron (Donna) Skjerdal, and children Ryan (Patty) Skjerdal & children Ava and Austin, Carson Skjerdal (Kirstie) and Ashley (Tyson) Becker and children Brandt and Lyla; Marilyn (Arlen) McCutcheon, and children Gina McCutcheon & Jaycee & children Tristan and Raffaella, Andrea (Jared) Meckelburg and Riley McCutcheon; James Skjerdal and children Courtney (Evan) Molander, Brady and Sarah; Brent (Loretta) Skjerdal, and children Dustin (Kim) Skjerdal & children Dane and Jace, Quentin (Brittni) Skjerdal and children Sophie and Jake, and Kayla (Adam) Simonar; Tammy (Cory) Howard and children Darcy and his children Brooklyn and Kayden, Brendan Howard and Kaitlyn Howard; Kevin Skjerdal & his children Logan, Claire and Olivia; Kari (Daren) Hallberg and children Tanner (Jasmin) Hallberg and Kiana, Angie (Reid) and Beau, and Aleshia Hallberg; Barry (Connie) Barsness, and children Brett, Drew, Erik & Evan; Jeff (Carolyn) Barsness, and children Jordan, Brayden & Lauryn; sisters-in-law: Mabel Larsen, Vivian Johnson, Beverly Locken and Lorraine Roysum, as well as many nieces, nephews, good friends and neighbours.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Victoria Mwamasika officiating. Pallbearers will be: Byron Skjerdal, James Skjerdal, Brent Skjerdal, Kevin Skjerdal, Barry Barsness, Jeffrey Barsness and Brandon Lohse. Honorary Pallbearers are all in attendance. Luncheon will be held after the service at the Zion Lutheran Church with Interment following at the St. John’s Cemetery, Beaubier, SK.
