Obituary for
Doug Northcotte
It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Northcotte announces his peaceful passing, in the loving presence of his family, at the James Paton Hospital in Gander on Friday, November 25, 2022, age 62 years of Gaultois.
Douglas leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Audrey; son, Travis ( Roxanne); daughter, Vicki (Glen); grandchildren, Dylan and Joy; sister, Nadine ( Carl); brother, Murray (Wanda); special friend, Adam MacDonald; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Douglas was predeceased by his parents, Reg and Bessie Northcotte; special uncle, Frank Connock.
A true outdoors man, Doug loved his time at the cabin in Partridge Harbour. He was a fanatic about moose hunting, having been present with both Travis and Dylan when they shot their first moose. Just before he fell ill, Doug was proud to have shot this season’s moose.
Doug touched the lives of so many people throughout his life but especially recently with Puddisters and his time working on the ferries.
Visitation will take place at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage on Monday, November 28, 2022.
Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage with Rev. Gail MacDonald officiating.
