It is with great sadness that Doug’s family announce his sudden passing at his home on Sunday August 21st, 2022 at the age of 56 years. He was the greatly loved son of Dale and Audrey (Burns) Macdonald and cherished husband of Judith (Thompson) Macdonald. He will be sadly missed by his son Bradley (Rianne) and family Brynn and Makenna Macdonald and daughter Kristy (Craig) and family Carson and Cayden Coupland. Doug will be fondly remembered by sisters Marilyn Gunn, Carol Kassis and Bonnie Stead, Judy’s parents Rowland and Lorna Thompson, Judy’s sister Brenda (Steve) Lackey and her brothers Ronald and David Thompson. Doug was a devoted life time transport driver, employed for the past 11 years with Contrans Tank Group GP Inc.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St., W., Perth on Saturday August 27th, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held October 7th, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Lanark Timber Run, 154 Caldwell Road, Lanark, ON K0G 1K0. In remembrance, contributions to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (C.H.E.O) would be appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
