Douglas Erb
1952-2022
It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of C. Douglas Erb, 69, of Petitcodiac at his
residence on Thursday, February 24, 2022 with his family by his side.
Born in Sus, he was a son of the late Frank and Lily (Freeze)
Erb.
Douglas was a proud truck driver for 46
years until his illness forced retirement. He loved the outdoors, time
spent at the camp with his friends, but most importantly time with his
family, especially his grandchildren and always loved to go to their
hockey games.
Survived and sadly missed by his beloved
wife of 39 years, Doris (McCully); his children Dianne Erb (Dan);
Darren (Vanessa), Dawna Osborne (Erin); cherished grandchildren,
Criss, Kirsten, Cole, Braeden, Bailey, Brantley, Dominic; chosen
granddaughter, Hailey; sisters, Doris Alexander (David),
Christine Erb, Marcia MacCallum (Terry); sister-in-law, Eileen;
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Douglas was
predeceased by his sister, Barbara, and brother,
Albert.
Family will receive relatives and
friends at The Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106, Salisbury West
on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Due to
covid-19 restrictions, masks are mandatory. Interment in Steeves
Settlement Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorials to the IWK
or to the Steeves Settlement Cemetery would be
appreciated.
