Doug’s Obituary
Douglas James Page (1937-2022) died in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, after suffering a stroke. Doug was a faithful husband to Alma and a loving father to Troy and Darren. Doug and Alma were married 64 years. They began their married life in Lawrence Station, NB, where he taught Vocational until 1965. Doug accepted the position as Vocational Director at the School for the Deaf, later as Manager of School Services until retirement in 1994. Doug dedicated his life to serve Jehovah God in 1966. He has been a faithful witness, serving first in St. Stephen congregation, later McAdam, then in Amherst for 57 years. Doug is survived by his wife, Alma (Sypher); children, Troy, Ottawa; and Darren (Pattie), Huntsville, ON; grandchildren, Donovan and Bryce and their children, Grayson, Jerikko and Deacon. He was predeceased by his adoptive parents, James and Dorthy Page (Fredericton, NB); infant daughter, Tammy Marine; daughter-in-law, Jenny; in-laws, Dale and Ann Smith; grandson, Amide. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Oxford.
