Obituary of Dorothy Royles
Dorothy Margaret Royles, 81 of Westville passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with family by her side.
Born in Alma, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Margaret “Daisy” (Simmonds) MacDonald.
Dorothy was a resident of Glen Haven Manor for the past 2 years. A quiet person, she enjoyed family gatherings, playing crib, making puzzles and specially enjoyed her grand children.
Dorothy will be dearly missed by daughter Arlene MacRae (David), Lyons Brook; sons Robert “Bobby” (Bonnie) Royles, Sudbury and Allen (Denise) Royles, Pictou and daughter Sheila Royles (Clifford), New Glasgow; grand children , Matthew and Daniel MacRae; Kristy Olsen, Michael Royles and Jessi-Noel Woolridge; Michael and Brandon Royles; Kevin(Jr.) and Chelsea Prosper (and their father Kevin Prosper) and 8 great grand children.
She is also survived by sisters and brothers, Joan Rushton (Paul), Glenn, Valerie, Brian, Mary Gwen (Gary), Bruce, Ronald; Clara (Jim Hamilton), and Heather (Steven) MacDonald; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maude MacDonald; Warren (Marie) Royles, Edward (Shirley) Royles , Mary Totten (Ken) and Ann Royles.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Blaine Royles ; son Rick Royles and brothers Paul and Allen MacDonald, sister-in-law Marie MacDonald and brother-in-law Brad Royles.
A private family visitation and grave side will take place. Masks are required. Donations in her memory may be made to the Glen Haven Manor Social Fund or the SPCA.
