Dorothy Lane 19472022

Dorothy Lane
1947-2022
It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of Ms. Dorothy Lane, 74, of The Glades on Friday,
January 28, 2022 at Albert House – SENB Hospice, Moncton.
Born in Petitcodiac, she was a daughter of the late Purdy and Ottilie
(Beaman) Lane.
In her younger years, Dorothy did many
childcare and housekeeping jobs. Before the Covid-19 pandemic
restrictions, she also enjoyed volunteering at The Jordan Life Care
Centre. She always liked meeting and talking to friends, and if they
teased her, Dorothy would say “I‘d always tease them
back”. She had a heart of gold, and will be missed by so
many.
Dorothy is the last surviving member of
her immediate family.
Survived by her sisters-in-law, Louise
(wife of Lee Lane), Arlene (wife of Arthur Lane), and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by her sister, Della (Dale) Martin of Toronto; brothers, Howard,
Lloyd, Art, Lee, and infant Kenny, all of NB.
As per Dorothy’s wishes, there
will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be in
Parkindale Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements under the professional
care of The Salisbury Funeral Home and Crematorium.
In memory of Dorothy, contributions to
Hospice SENB, Canadian Cancer Society, or The Jordan LifeCare Centre
would be appreciated.
