Obituary
Dorothy Eleanor Maitland Patrick
November 22, 1928 – December 13, 2022
Dorothy passed away peacefully at the Trenton Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Edward Patrick. Loving mother of Linda Norman, David Valley (Elizabeth), Harold Maitland (Tammy), Thomas Maitland (Loretta), Richard Maitland and Randy Maitland (Kelly). Proud Grandma of Richard, Sherrie, Terri, Jeffery, Thomas, Candice, David, Christopher, Skylar and many great grandchildren. Cherished sister of Jack, Buddy, Shirley, Jeannie and Peggy. Predeceased by her siblings Mary, Bill, Clif and Sadie. A special thank you to all the staff at the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton and the Trenton Memorial Hospital for all their care and support. Dorothy loved family gatherings, in 2019 she finally stepped onto Harold’s pontoon boat. She was nervous but she faced her fear and truly enjoyed her day on the water. Dorothy loved long drives in the country, especially with her friend Bernie. She will be truly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with WEAVER Life Centre – East, 29 Bay St. Trenton. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
