Obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dorothy (Dottie) Barnes at Peterborough Regional Health Centre with family at her side. Predeceased by parents James and Nellie Hearns, her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Edward (Ted) Barnes, her brothers Tom (Norma) Hearns, Arthur “Sonny” (Bernie) Hearns, her sisters Helen (Sid) Fenton, Betty (Carl) Balsdon, Margorie (John) Fitzell, and son-in-law Colin MacIsaac. Dottie will be forever missed by her daughters Susan (Jim) Edwards and Caroline Macisaac (David Hardy), her brother Frank (Linda) Hearns. Granny to Bobbi-Jo, David, Cheryl, Tina, Daniel and Katie. Great Granny to Taylor. Special “Mom” to Susan and Brent Bina.
Dottie loved to travel, spent many winters with Ted in Florida, fish and spend time with family.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at Lakeland Funeral and Cremation centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay on September 17th, 2022 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peterborough Regional Health Centre or a charity of choice.
