Donze Frederic 2022

Frédéric (Fred) Donzé
March 22, 1972 – August 15, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Fred on August 15, 2022, after a short illness. Born in Lausanne, Switzerland on March 22, 1972, to André and Odile (nee Salvadé), Fred was the devoted husband to Jennifer (nee Sclater) and proud Daddy to Louis. He is also survived by his adored sister Fabienne (Reto Imfeld) and was the loving Tonton to Laura and Florian Imfeld. He will be dearly missed by his in-laws, Tom and Peggy Sclater, brother-in-law, James, and family and friends in Switzerland and Canada.
Following a career as a print journalist, Fred moved to Montreal in 2002 to work for the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), where he met Jen. He spent 20 years working at WADA between Montreal, and Switzerland, where Louis was born. Fred will be missed by colleagues from around the world in the sport community as he had the ability to make everyone he met feel like a close friend. Fred was loved and appreciated by so many.
We would like to thank the staff at St-Mary’s Hospital, in particular Dr Mathieu Walker for his guidance, and the staff at the Montreal Neurological ICU, including Shireen Osborne for her friendship. We would also like to thank our dear friend Dr Brian Potter for the invaluable support as we navigated this difficult time.
Services will be held in Montreal and Morges, Switzerland.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Donze Frederic 2022..
