Obituary of Donna Barkhouse
Barkhouse, Donna Marie – 71 of Haliburton Place, Windsor, formerly of Pembroke, passed away on March 3rd, 2022, at Haliburton Place. Born in Woodside, NS on November 29th, 1950, she was the daughter to the late Donald and Evelyn (Swinamer) Morash.
Donna was an avid bingo player and bowled in her younger years. She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting Afghans blankets and making hundreds of pairs of mittens and socks for her grandchildren and others over the years. Donna always loved attending the Wooden Rose Auctions to see what treasures she could find.
Donna was an active member in her community; serving over 20 years in the Walton Volunteer Fire Dept, she helped run Red Cross Swimming Lessons for 32 years and would hold community fundraisers to take kids on trips to waterparks and have picnics.
Donna is survived by husband Robert, sons Eddie (Kerry) and Michael (Dawn), grandchildren Cody, Dallas (Heidi), Megan (MJ), Monica (Cale), greatgrandchildren Nova, Brady, Piper and Kinsley, brothers Donald (Joy), James and John, sisters Anne, Shirley and Mary Lou.
Besides her parents, Donna is predeceased by in-laws Charles and Leona Barkhouse, sisters Margaret, Barbara, and Pauline in infancy.
Cremation has taken place, there will be a private family burial held at a later date.
