WILSON, DONNA (NEE MITCHELL)
At home in Woodlawn after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Devoted wife to Jack Wilson and mother to Rhonda (Gilly) and Debbie (Troy) Wilson.
Donna is survived by her sisters Darlene (Tony) and Marie (Donnie) Mitchell. She leaves behind her two treasured grandchildren Heidi and Cole Lebrun. Donn is predeceased by her dearly beloved brothers Alan and Scott Mitchell and her ‘adopted’ brother Jerry “Budgie” Budge, as well as her parents the late Mervyn Mitchell and the late Irene Mitchell (McIntyre).
Jack, Debbie and Rhonda would like to thank everyone who reached out with cards and well wishes, meals, visits and support. Extended appreciation to Donna’s sister Marie and sister-in-law Lynne for their tremendous support, as well as the exceptional and attentive care by her primary homecare nurse; Matthew Castiglia, the resources supplied by her case manager Suzanne Kellock and nurse practitioner Amanda Bulcher and the capital care from general practitioner Christopher Zadow.
As per Donna’s wishes there will be no services in her honour at this time, a celebration of life will be held later in the spring of 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Mental Health Association are encouraged, a cause for which she felt strongly.
