Obituary
It is with enormous sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Donna Smith.
She passed peacefully at home on July 14, 2022. Donna was born on August 26, 1936, in Charlottetown, PEI to the late Melville and Vesta (Nunn) Horne. Saint John became home to her and her loving husband, Alexander Smith. After nearly thirty years, she will be reunited with Alec in heaven. Donna was blessed with two children, Joy (Scott) and John (Glenda). She was also the treasured grandmother of Jeanna (Jason) and Chris; and her great-grandchildren Jackson, Joshua, Juno, Grace, and Alyssa who brought her so much joy. Donna will also be greatly missed by her cherished sister Audrey (Peter) and several cousins. Her absence will be deeply felt by her dear friend and cousin Ruth (Jim). She will be missed by many friends and members of her Saint Columba Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmoreland Road. Following cremation, a private graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
