Obituary for
Donna Cheryl Holmans
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Donna Cheryl Holmans announces her passing at the age of 67.
Donna was born in Halifax, NS on May 1, 1954. She later moved to Belleoram (family homeland) where she spent many happy years with her loving partner, Frank Dodge. She was the youngest of twelve children. Before moving to Newfoundland she worked in many fields; auditor, clerk, cosmetology and finally as an educator until her retirement.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Caroline (Mills, Poole) Holmans; sisters, Ruth Dicks (Bill) and Sarah Strickland (Cecil); brothers, Clayton Poole (Connie) and William Holmans (Florence); brothers in law, Bill Dicks, Cecil Strickland and Albert Drover; sisters in law, Connie Poole, Florence Holmans (first wife of Philip), Joyce Holmans and Barbara Holmans.
Donna is survived and lovingly remembered by sisters, Elsie (Albert Drover) and Pat Foley (Butch); brothers. Philip Holmans (Nancy), George Holmans (Sharon), Jerry Holmans (Patty), Budd Holmans (Anne) and Wayne Holmans (Linda); especially her loving partner of many years, Frank Dodge.
Donna will be missed but always remembered for her sense of humour and her love for her family. She was an aunt, great aunt, cousin, sister and special mom to her darling Beiji (Payia). She will be in our hearts forever.
Visitation will take place on Monday, January 24, 2022 and Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the St. Lawrence Anglican Church at Belleoram from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Vax Passes and Masks will be required.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 2:00 pm from the St. Lawrence Anglican Church at Belleoram with Rev. Tryphenia Vallis officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Belleoram. Vax Passes and Masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Belleoram.
